It looks like Flash AV Software has a new version of FFMPEG Converter For Android. It is a commercial wrapper component of the libavcodec library but it appears to be able to encode and decode video on Android with Delphi XE5 Firemonkey. It even has a free trial so you can try it out before buying. One interesting feature it lists is being able to use a TBitmap device capture. That sounds like you would be able to read from the Android video camera and encode straight from it. There are lots of other features that the FFMPEG Converter provides like subtitle support, sox audio filters, and even video filters. Additionally, it can encode and decode with a TStream which should make it really easy to use. It also looks like it has a comprehensive demo on how to use it. This may be one of the only working video recording solutions I’ve seen so far on Android for Delphi XE5 Firemonkey.
Head over and download the free trial of the FFMPEG Converter.
