Simon Stuart from LaKraven Studios has an in depth article up on App Tethering in Delphi XE7 Firemonkey. App Tethering is super easy to setup and use but there is a lot of advanced functionality and events there as well if you need them. If you’re looking to use app tethering or even if you’ve used it before this is a really good article for finding out more about it. The article does a deep dive into what app tethering is, the demos that are available, and how to setup autonomous pairing between app tethering devices. App tethering consists of two main components which are TTetheringManager and TTetheringAppProfile. Each component is explained in the article. Two methods of pairing between two app tethering apps are also provided. The first method uses AutoConnect to pair two devices and demo source code is included. The second method uses DiscoverManager and PairManager to find and pair with another app tethering app. Demo source code is also included for the second method. App tethering works on and between Android, IOS, OSX, and Windows platforms in addition to being available in Appmethod.
There is also a part two of the article about App Tethering and shared resources in Delphi XE7 Firemonkey available here.
