Delphi XE7 Firemonkey Myo Gesture Armband SDK Component C++ Object Pascal | Delphi 11 10 XE8 XE7 XE Seattle Berlin Tokyo Rio Firemonkey Delphi Android Delphi IOSDavid Berneda from Steema Software has released a Delphi XE7 Firemonkey component wrapper for the Myo Gesture Armband SDK. David has taken the Myo C++ SDK and created a wrapper component for both VCL and Firemonkey. There is a post up on Google Plus where David talks about the component. Brian Alexakis from the Appmethod blog has been working with the Myo Armband recently as well and has some C++ examples and demo videos for you to check out. The components that David created take the Myo Windows DLL and gives you direct access to it from Delphi in both 32bit and 64bit. There is a VCL demo and an FMX demo which displays activity data from the Myo device in a TeeChart component. The Myo Armband gives you access to an accelerometer, gyroscope, and orientation sensor. If you check out the demo videos from Brian you can see how he uses the Myo armband roll, pitch, and yaw data to move a rectangle around the form in Appmethod. In Brian’s second post he shows how you can move through images in the FireFlow app demo using the armband.
