Developer Erik Salaj from Winsoft has released a new NFC library for Delphi XE8 Firemonkey on Android. NFC stands for near field communication and basically it enables devices like smartphones to be touched together and exchange information. According to the Android help there are three different NFC modes: reader/writer mode, P2P mode, and card emulation mode. Obviously the library only supports Android and not IOS, Windows, or Mac. It supports reading NFC-A, NDEF and MIFARE Ultralight NFC tags and you get full source code with the library. This is a commercial library but a trial version and a demo are both available. Also keep in mind that you can purchase this library as part of the Winsoft Component Package for a huge savings. You should be able to use this library with Appmethod as well.
